Job summary

A recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer to manage and supervise construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and be registered with IES/BCA, along with substantial experience in tunnel projects and strong communication skills. This role involves aligning project schedules, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring quality standards on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Registered as a Resident Engineer with IES/BCA, holding valid certification in Singapore.
• Minimum 6 years of overall work experience, with at least 2 years based in Singapore.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with project stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Willingness to work extended hours to meet tight project deadlines.
• At least 2 years of experience in tunnel projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage work schedules based on project plans.
• Coordinate with the Professional Engineer regarding temporary works.
• Collaborate with consultants to address technical matters.
• Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues.
• Guide site supervisors on construction activities.
• Enforce quality standards through site inspections.
• Prepare reports and method statements as needed.
• Supervise and manage workers on-site.
• Monitor all site operations for smooth execution.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage work schedules based on the master and detailed project plans.
• Coordinate with the Professional Engineer regarding all temporary works.
• Collaborate with consultants (QPs) to address technical matters and synchronize on-site activities with subcontractors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve engineering and technical issues as they arise.
• Guide site supervisors on construction activities, ensuring progress aligns with the planned schedule.
• Enforce quality standards through regular site inspections and timely resolution of technical challenges.
• Prepare reports and method statements as needed.
• Supervise and manage workers on-site, ensuring a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Monitor all site operations closely to ensure smooth execution.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Resident Engineer with IES/BCA, holding valid certification in Singapore.
• Minimum 6 years of overall work experience, with at least 2 years based in Singapore.

• Both 5 and 6 working days an option.
