SATS Ltd. is one of the world’s largest providers of air cargo handling services and Asia’s leading airline caterer. This role focuses on managing payroll processes for new joiners, resignations, salary adjustments, leave schemes, and other payroll‑related tasks across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for new joiners, including verifying and unlocking workflows and ensuring timely payment of first salary.
- Process payroll for resignee, by processing cessation and delim of fixed allowance advice received from line department; stopping payments for resigned staff; creating payments or deductions stated in the resignation letters; verifying CPF calculations; submitting IR21 for tax clearance (for foreign employees); raising final payments; preparing letters for salary recovery; sending salary statement to former employees.
- Process salary adjustment for existing staff (including promotions, confirmation of service, contract renewals).
- Ensure accurate and timely withholding and release of salaries when required.
- Process Government‑Paid leave schemes, including Maternity Leave, Paternity Leave, Shared Parental Leave, Childcare Leave.
- Manage NS Make‑Up Pay claims.
- Update bulk allowances and deductions using Fast Entry transactions, including variable allowances (e.g. Overtimes Claims; Flexi staff earnings & deductions).
- Provide backup support for assigned buddy during their absence. Respond to payroll‑related queries in a professional and timely manner.
Key Requirements
- Miminum 1 to 2 years of payroll experience with good understanding of the payroll processing cycle.
- Familiarity with payroll software and proficient in Excel.
- Knowledge of Singapore Employment Act, CPF Act and Income Tax Act.
- Good initiative and independent team player who is able to work with minimum supervision to meet multiple payroll deadlines.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- High level of accuracy; meticulous and attention to detail.
- Some experience in handling high volume data processing is preferred.
- Strong sense of integrity and adherence to prescribed confidentiality guidelines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
