Job description

As a Payroll Accountant, you will be managing the end-to-end payroll process for the organisation's workforce. Your scope will involve reviewing employee work data to ensure accuracy in wage calculations and timely salary disbursements. You will play a crucial role in maintaining statutory compliance by handling CPF contributions and income tax submissions efficiently.

  • Review employee work data including hours worked, leave taken, overtime records, bonuses, and deductions to ensure precise payroll calculations.
  • Process payroll accurately and ensure timely disbursement of salaries to all employees in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure full compliance with Singapore's employment laws and regulations by calculating and submitting Central Provident Fund (CPF) contributions on time.
  • Handle annual income tax submissions such as IR8A forms for employees and IR21 forms for employees leaving Singapore.
  • Prepare monthly payroll reconciliations and generate detailed general ledger reports for management review and audit purposes.
  • Assist with both internal and external audits by providing necessary payroll documentation and supporting information as required.
  • Maintain organised, accurate, and confidential records of all payroll transactions, employee data changes (new hires, terminations, salary adjustments), and benefits information within the HR/payroll system.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding queries about payroll matters, deductions, benefits, or discrepancies; provide clear guidance and resolve issues professionally.
  • Collaborate effectively with HR department members and operational teams to support smooth payroll processes across the organisation.
  • Carry out any other payroll accounting related duties as assigned by the Director of Finance to support departmental objectives.
