The role reports to the Payment and Settlements Lead.

Job Description

The successful candidate will assume the role of Payments and Settlements Analyst in the Payments operations team. He/she will perform daily BAU and lead Industry Testing and other initiatives which involve payment schemes like MEPS+, Swift, Giro (IBG), FAST and PayNow.

The Role Responsibility
  • Ensure daily FAST, PayNow, Giro (IBG) and MEPS+ processing are executed timely and accurately in accordance with bank’s internal policy and local regulations.
  • Handle queries related to FAST, PayNow, Giro (IBG) and MEPS+.
  • Handle Audit Queries raised by Operation control, Internal Audit and External Audit.
  • Recommend process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Monitor nostro account movement related to FAST, Giro, MEPS+ and MAS current account.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to less experienced staff
  • Lead BCS and MAS Industry Testing and new product initiatives.
  • Provide G3 FAST, G3 IBG, CAS and Swift maintenance support outside working hours.
Role Specific Technical Competencies
  • BCS Payment knowledge (FAST, PayNow and Giro)
  • MEPS+ Payment knowledge (MEPS+ and Swift)
  • BCP and Industry Testing
  • MAS requirements, regulations, and guidelines
  • ISO20022 adoption and CBPR+ guidelines
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 6 years of experience in an established financial Institution with extensive experience in payments operations.
  • Strong working experience in BCS payment schemes like FAST, PayNow and Giro.
  • In depth understanding of BCS payment schemes therefore able to provide solution for FAST and Giro related reconciliation.
  • Experience in BCP and Industry Testing. Able to lead a project or UAT Testing.
  • Sound knowledge of MAS requirements, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Candidate with good MEPS+ and Swift knowledge will be of additional advantage.
  • Knowledge of ISO20022 adoption, SCRIPS and CBPR+ guidelines will be of additional advantage.
  • Ability to establish good relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently. Possess positive working attitude, with resilience and good adaptability in a start-up environment.
