Job description

We are seeking an experienced Payment Systems Analyst to support the Integration workstream for our end client, SMBC. The selected candidate will be responsible for analysing, designing, and integrating complex payment systems within banking environments, ensuring compliance with standards such as ISO20022 and SWIFT.

Employment Type: 1-Year Contract
Budget: SGD 12,000 per month (inclusive of CPF and insurance)
Work Location: Onsite, Singapore

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis and integration of payment systems across multiple platforms and interfaces.
• Design and validate system architecture, data models, and payment file formats (ISO20022, APIs, ACH, SWIFT).
• Collaborate with internal technology teams and business stakeholders to ensure smooth payment operations and compliance with security standards.
• Conduct system impact analysis and recommend effective solutions for performance and process optimization.
• Manage interface registers, system documentation, and integration specifications.
• Support testing, issue resolution, and enhancements in the payment ecosystem.
• Provide technical and analytical input to improve efficiency and operational resilience.

Primary Skillset (Must-Have)

• Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in banking/payment system design, data modelling, interface protocols, and payment file formats (ISO20022, APIs, ACH, SWIFT MT/MX).
• Analytical Skills: Deep understanding of banking technology, cash management, and payment processing; capable of analysing complex system interactions.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to assess issues quickly and propose practical, efficient resolutions aligned with market standards.

Secondary Skillset (Good-to-Have)

• Project Management: Familiarity with project lifecycles, delivery tracking, and stakeholder reporting.
• Documentation: Skilled in producing technical documents such as interface registers and architecture diagrams.
• Industry Knowledge: Awareness of payment regulations, emerging technologies, and market trends.
• Payment Infrastructure Insight: Understanding of ACH, SWIFT MT/MX, FAST Payments, APIs, Virtual Account Management, and Liquidity Systems.
