Job summary

A dental healthcare provider in Singapore is seeking a motivated Dental Assistant to assist in various dental procedures and provide administrative support. Candidates should have at least N’ Level or equivalent, and individuals with no experience may be considered. Key responsibilities include patient education, appointment management, and ensuring the cleanliness of instruments. On-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year experience in a related field preferred; fresh candidates may be considered.
  • Able to commit to a 44 hours work week on a 5.5 days schedule.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Assist in operative dentistry, surgical, endodontics and prosthodontics procedures and any other dental related duties.
  • Assist in the performing of dental radiography.
  • Comply with work safety regulations in the handling of dental instruments and equipment.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sterility of dental instruments and equipment.
  • Comply with Infection Control Practices and maintain Infection Control Standards.
  • Educate clients on dental and post‑operative care.
  • Perform sterilization related work.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the treatment room / workstation.
  • Maintain and control inventory / stock / equipment.
  • Maintain / control and monitor equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist in appointment bookings, registration of patients, payments and dispensing of medications.
  • Handle walk‑in patients and phone enquiries.
  • Provide administrative support in the clinic.
  • On‑the‑job Training will be provided.
Qualifications
  • Candidate should possess at least a N’ Level / O’ Level / A level / Nitec / Diploma / Professional Certificate in any field.
  • At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is preferred. Candidates with no experience may be considered.
  • Team player and motivated individual.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Confident in handling administrative work using – Word/Excel, computer system and mobile apps.
  • Able to commit to 44 hours per week, on a 5.5 days work week. Staff will be placed on roster.
