Job Overview: Dona Manis Cake Shop, a beloved heritage bakery known for its handmade pastries and signature banana pies, is looking for Pastry Assistants to join our kitchen team. Whether you're seeking a part-time role or a full-time career in baking, we welcome passionate individuals who love working with their hands and take pride in traditional craft.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and production of cakes, pies, tarts, and pastries.
  • Support the head pastry chef in daily baking tasks (measuring ingredients, mixing, shaping, decorating, etc.).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area according to food safety standards.
  • Handle basic food preparation tasks (cutting fruits, portioning ingredients, packing finished products).
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of ingredients and supplies.
  • Ensure consistency in product quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Uphold Dona Manis\' traditional standards of handmade quality and care.
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • No formal experience required, but passion for baking is a must.
  • Prior kitchen or bakery experience is an advantage.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak hours.
  • Physically fit (must be able to stand for long hours and carry ingredients).
Working Hours
  • Part-Time: Minimum 3 days a week, including weekends preferred.
  • Full-Time: 5–6 days a week, based on schedule rotation. You may be required to work on weekends and public holidays, with off in lieu given based on MOM guidelines.

Working hours may vary depending on production needs.
