Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Part-Time Secondary Math and Science Tutor (Physics/Chemistry) to join our growing team.

You’ll guide students to bridge the gap between understanding and application using our proven FAST Learning System — helping them think critically, solve confidently, and perform consistently in school and national exams.

This position is ideal for educators who prefer a stable part-time schedule and want to make a meaningful difference teaching small, focused classes.

Key Responsibilities
  • 1. Teaching & Curriculum Delivery
    • Conduct engaging lessons in Secondary Mathematics and Science (Physics/Chemistry) aligned with the MOE syllabus.
    • Apply the our signature FAST Learning System to help students become exam-ready.
    • To go from KNOWING to SCORING.
    • Simplify challenging topics with clear, structured explanations and real-world examples.
    • Maintain high engagement levels through interactive and student-focused teaching approaches.
  • 2. Academic Support & Assessment
    • Plan out lesson plans and document student progress with weekly or monthly updates to parents with our in-house update system.
    • Monitor and evaluate student progress through classwork, tests, and mock exams.
    • Provide targeted feedback to help students identify and correct errors effectively.
    • Prepare concise reports for internal tracking and parent communication.
  • 3. Parent Communication & Collaboration
    • Communicate student progress to parents clearly and professionally.
    • Work collaboratively with CLG’s teaching team to ensure consistency in lesson delivery and student development.
    • Participate in CLG’s Headstart, Bootcamp, and Revision Programs when scheduled.
  • 4. Professional Growth & Team Contribution
    • Attend in-house training sessions to deepen mastery of the FAST Learning System.
    • Contribute to curriculum design, resource creation, and team discussions.
    • Uphold CLG’s values of excellence, mentorship, and innovation in education.
Candidate Requirements
Skills & Attributes
  • Strong subject mastery in Secondary Mathematics and Science (Physics and Chemistry at combined science and pure levels for O level and N level).
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Patient, positive, and passionate about helping students improve.
  • Ability to explain complex ideas in simple, step-by-step ways.
  • Dependable, organized, and adaptable to student needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Education, Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ tutoring experience preferred (tuition centre or private).
  • Familiarity with O-Level/NA/Express syllabus and latest MOE exam formats.
  • Training will be provided for tutors new to the FAST Learning System.
Working Hours
  • Weekdays: Evenings between 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Weekends: Flexible slots between 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM
  • (Schedules may vary based on student demand and term periods.)
