Job summary

Berries in Singapore is seeking a passionate part-time assistant teacher to support our Chinese language program. You will collaborate with the Main Teacher to prepare lessons and inspire children to learn Mandarin in a lively, engaging way.

The role requires clear Mandarin pronunciation, a warm approachable manner, and a commitment of 5–6 months with regular weekday and weekend shifts (12:30pm–7:30pm or 9:00am–6:00pm on weekends).

Qualifications

• Proficient Mandarin pronunciation for teaching in Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Main Teacher during lessons and activities.
• Manage classroom activities and student engagement.
• Tell stories and support learning through engaging methods.

• have an accurate pronunciation for spoken Mandarin (in order to facilitate teaching in Chinese Language)

• be able to commit to a regular teaching schedule for at least 5-6 months

Our preferred working hours:

• Weekdays 12:30pm - 7:30pm or 2:30pm - 9:30pm
• Weekends 9:00am - 6:00pm
