Job description

Conduct legal research and prepare summaries or case notes for lawyers’ reference.

Draft, review, and proofread legal documents and contracts in both English and Japanese, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Assist with the preparation and filing of legal documents and submissions to relevant authorities.

Maintain and organize case files, contracts, and document management systems.

Liaise with clients (including Japanese‑speaking clients), external counsel, and government bodies when necessary.

Track case timelines, hearing dates, and deliverables to ensure all deadlines are met.

Support lawyers in various practice areas such as corporate, commercial, or regulatory matters.

Assist with KYC processes and client onboarding documentation.

Job Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in a law firm or in‑house legal department.
  • Excellent command of both English and Japanese (written and verbal) for contract review and communication in both languages with Japanese‑speaking clients.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management tools.
