About the Role

The Paralegal – Corporate is an integral part of Latham’s Legal Professional and Paralegal team and will work to support the Corporate and Capital Markets practice.This role will be responsible for supporting attorneys throughout all phases of corporate transactions, including at on-site and off-site locations as needed, as well as drafting and managing closing checklists, signature pages, and closing binders. This role will be located in our Singapore office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Performing proofreading and basic legal research
  • Supporting, coordinating, and managing due diligence processes, including organising and reviewing corporate documents and contracts
  • Tracking and managing deadlines for transaction timelines, filings, consents, and other corporate governance matters, including diarising and sharing reminders with the team
  • Coordinating signatures and document execution with clients and internal teams
  • Providing timely updates and status reports on deliverables to attorneys and clients

  • Possess the ability to accurately interpret and understand legal concepts and procedures as they relate to practice areas
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal that convey professionalism and responsiveness
  • Exhibit well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with people at all organisational levels of the firm

And have:

  • Relevant experience as a paralegal in a law firm, preferably with a Corporate or Capital Markets team
  • Advanced proficiency in both English and Mandarin
  • A bachelor's degree in law
