Job description
1. Job Purpose

The Paralegal provides essential legal and administrative support to lawyers, ensuring smooth case management, timely filing of documents, and effective coordination between clients, courts, and external parties.

2. Key Responsibilities
A. Legal Support
  • Draft, format, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, affidavits, correspondence, and agreements.
  • Conduct legal research, compile findings, and summarise case laws or legislation.
  • Assist lawyers in preparing case bundles, hearing files, and trial documents.
  • Manage deadlines and ensure timely lodgement of court filings via ELS, eLitigation, or other relevant platforms.
B. Client and Case Management
  • Liaise with clients to obtain necessary information and documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with PDPA and firm protocols.
  • Prepare and update case status reports, WIP lists, and filing indexes.
  • Support lawyers during client meetings, hearings, and mediations when required.
C. Administrative Duties
  • Organise and maintain physical and electronic case files.
  • Coordinate courier dispatch, service of documents, and correspondence with external parties.
  • Assist in tracking disbursements, filing fees, and client billing records.
  • Perform other office or clerical duties as assigned by the Management.
