Job summary

Rajah & Tann Asia in Singapore is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our banking & finance practice group. The ideal candidate will have solid drafting experience and comfort with leveraging technology and AI tools to boost accuracy and efficiency in legal work.

You will assist with drafting and reviewing facility and security documents, manage transaction timelines, perform due diligence, and conduct legal and factual research.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least two years of paralegal experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Meticulous and able to multitask while meeting transaction timelines.
• Proactive and able to anticipate needs; proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide efficient legal and practice support to lawyers in the banking & finance practice group.
• Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including facility and security documents and corporate approvals.
• Assisting with conditions precedent and conditions subsequent documents.
• Support lawyers in transaction management, including tracking key dates, maintaining checklists, and ensuring compliance with transaction timelines.
• Conduct legal and factual research as required, and assist with due diligence exercises.
• Leverage legal technology and AI-assisted tools to streamline drafting, review processes, and due diligence workflows.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and turnaround times through the use of AI.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years of paralegal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Meticulous and able to multitask and ensure transaction timelines are adhered to.
• Proactive and able to anticipate needs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
