A leading media company in Singapore is seeking an Overseas Film and Television Procurement Specialist to procure high-quality content from regions such as North America, South Korea, and Southeast Asia. This role requires proven experience in international content procurement, strong negotiation skills, and market analysis capabilities. The ideal candidate will be proactive and resilient, with a keen understanding of industry dynamics and trends.
Objective:
To procure high-quality film and television content from regions such as North America, South Korea, and Southeast Asia, building a robust and competitive content library for the company's global distribution and new business initiatives, thereby strengthening the company's position in the international film and television market.
Core Responsibilities:
Identify commercially promising film and television content—including series, films, and animations—focusing on North America, South Korea, and Southeast Asia.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with overseas production companies, distributors, and platforms. Conduct procurement negotiations, secure favorable terms, and manage the contract execution process.
Analyze content demand and trends in target markets, aligning procurement strategies with the company's business goals to support long-term development.
Monitor the market performance of acquired content, gather feedback, and utilize insights to inform future procurement decisions.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in film and television content procurement for international markets, with familiarity of local industry dynamics, content characteristics, and procurement processes.
Demonstrated collaboration experience with at least one of the following:
North America: Major platforms such as Netflix, Disney+, or equivalent.
South Korea: Leading platforms or production studios like Lezhin Comics, Topreels, or similar.
Southeast Asia: Regional platforms such as Singapore’s Viddsee, Malaysia’s Astro Go, or equivalent.
Strong ability to identify high-potential and commercially viable content, with a sharp eye for market trends.
Proficiency in foreign languages (e.g., English, Korean) for effective business negotiation and communication.
Excellent market analysis and resource integration skills. Candidates with an established network in the global film and television industry will be preferred.
Proactive, resilient, and results-driven, with the ability to manage cross-time zone communication effectively.
