Job summary

Activate Interactive Singapore is hiring an IT Security Officer to protect the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of critical meteorological infrastructure. You will bridge cybersecurity with environmental monitoring tech to secure weather observation and dissemination systems.

Role covers OT asset discovery, security monitoring, risk management, vulnerability management, and training. Requires 5+ years in IT/OT security and applicable government clearance or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in IT/OT security roles, preferably in critical infrastructure or government.
• Proficiency with SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection tools.
• Active government security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Familiarity with meteorological/environmental monitoring systems.
• Experience securing SCADA/OT systems.
• Knowledge of NIST, FISMA, IEC 62443 frameworks.
• Experience in 24/7 mission-critical environments.
• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, GICSP, or equivalent.
• Cloud security experience in hybrid AWS/Azure environments.
• Knowledge of meteorological data standards (BUFR/GRIB/NetCDF).
• Strong communication and analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• OT Asset Discovery & Architecture mapping across meteorological networks.
• Security Operations & Monitoring for hybrid IT/OT environments.
• Coordinate patches and security incident responses with national CERTs.
• Conduct risk assessments; ensure compliance with frameworks.
• Vulnerability management, patch cycles, and security audits.
• Vendor and supply chain security governance.
• Develop and deliver OT cybersecurity training.
• Serve as OT security subject matter expert for the division.
