Job summary

A logistics company in Singapore is seeking an Operations Officer (Air Freight) to manage air export and import operations. Responsibilities include preparing AWBs, coordinating shipments, and liaising with customs, ensuring accurate details and efficient communication.   • Handle submission of FWB, FHL, permits, and related documents.
  • Manage pre-alerts, billing, and emails for air export operations.
  • Inspect cargo at the warehouse upon arrival.
  • Pre-declare customs permits and submit details to Singapore Customs.
  • Manage billing and emails for air import operations.

  • Working Location: Changi Airfreight Centre
  • Working Hours: 5.5 days, Mon - Fri (9 am – 6 pm) Sat (9 am – 1 pm) (alternate Saturday upon confirmation
  • Salary Package: Up to $2400 +OT + AWS
  • Duration: Permanent Role
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare draft AWBs for review by customers, forwarders, and overseas agents.
  • Coordinate with CIPL to draft permits prior to shipment arrival.
  • Maintain regular liaison with customers and overseas agents, and manage email correspondence.
  • Upon cargo arrival at the warehouse, confirm pieces, weight, and dimensions to enter accurate details into the system and print original AWB copies.
  • Handle the submission of FWB, FHL, permits, and other required documents.
  • Send pre-alerts, manage billing, and handle related emails for air export operations.
  • Await pre-alerts to either release cargo or arrange delivery. Visit the warehouse to inspect cargo.
  • Pre-declare customs permits and submit shipment details through the CCN system to Singapore Customs.
  • Manage billing and handle related emails for air import operations.
  • Other ad-hoc duties which may be assigned.
