A quick-service Indian restaurant in Singapore is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure high standards of food quality and service. Ideal candidates should have proven experience in restaurant management, strong knowledge of Hyderabadi cuisine, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include managing staff, inventory control, and maintaining compliance with food safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager / Operations Manager in an Indian or quick-service restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of Hyderabadi cuisine and South Indian dining culture is an advantage.
  • Must be familiar with food safety (NEA) and hygiene requirements in Singapore.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring efficient workflow across kitchen and service teams.
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency to maintain the authentic Hyderabadi standard.
  • Supervise and coordinate with chefs, kitchen staff, and service crew for order fulfillment.
  • Manage staff scheduling including split shifts during peak hours.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards according to Singapore regulations.
  • Handle inventory control and purchasing — ensure timely availability of core ingredients.
  • Address customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally.
  • Support recruitment, training, and performance management of staff.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth functioning across all departments — kitchen, service, and customer relations — while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and service. You will play a key role in supporting our Biryani Chefs and team to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring efficient workflow across kitchen and service teams.
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency to maintain the authentic Hyderabadi standard.
  • Supervise and coordinate with chefs, kitchen staff, and service crew to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Manage staff scheduling, including split shifts and manpower allocation during peak hours.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards according to Singapore regulations.
  • Handle inventory control and purchasing — ensure the timely availability of ingredients, particularly core items like rice, meat, and spices.
  • Collaborate with management to plan menus, special promotions, and seasonal offerings.
  • Address customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally to enhance the dining experience.
  • Support recruitment, training, and performance management of staff.
  • Monitor restaurant costs, including food wastage, labor, and utilities, to maintain profitability.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and delivery partners to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare regular reports on operations, sales, and staff performance for management review.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager / Operations Manager in an Indian or quick-service restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of Hyderabadi cuisine and South Indian dining culture is an advantage.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and split-shift environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be familiar with food safety (NEA) and hygiene requirements in Singapore.
  • Proficiency in basic computer operations (POS systems, MS Excel, etc.).
