Our client, a Japanese family office investment firm, is seeking an Operations Manager, and support investment operations for private banking clients.

Responsibilities
  1. Consolidation & Reporting
    • Maintain KYC / CDD records across all entities.
    • Prepare and provide monthly NAV, performance, and LTV reports.
  2. Cash & Treasury Management
    • Manage cash, payments, and liquidity of each investment vehicle.
    • Rebalance cash positions and monitor currency exposures.
  3. Performance & Risk Analysis
    • Benchmark fund managers and investment funds against market indices.
    • Conduct stress tests and monitor portfolio risk metrics.
  4. Rebalancing & Allocation
    • Adjust asset allocations in line with investment policy, risk profile, and liquidity requirements.
    • Recommend tactical shifts across asset classes.
  5. Governance & Communication
    • Prepare materials for quarterly investment reviews.
    • Coordinate with banks, managers, and regulators for operational and reporting purposes.
  6. Tax & Compliance
    • Manage audits, filings, and Ministry of Finance reporting.
    • Ensure compliance with 13O / 13U regulations and local statutory requirements.
  7. Technology & Automation
    • Maintain centralized data systems and automate reporting processes.
    • Ensure accuracy and traceability across all operational systems.

Requirements & Preferences
  • Must
    • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: Accounting, Legal, Banking, or Corporate Secretarial functions.
    • At least 3 years of accounting experience, including bank statement reconciliation, statutory filings, and liaising with external tax and accounting firms.
    • Fluent in Japanese (JLPT N1) and business-level English for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advantageous
    • Practical experience in investment management, fund accounting, or family office operations.
