Job summary
A leading logistics and shipping company in Singapore seeks an Operations Executive to oversee vessel operations and ensure effective resource planning. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies or related fields and at least 2 years of experience in the shipping industry. Fluency in English and Chinese is essential for communication with stakeholders. This role requires commitment and flexibility in working hours.
Qualifications

Responsibilities
- Ensure all vessel’s operations are effectively carried out and sufficiently resourced through detailed planning in advance.
- Responsible for all vessels operational works, such as:
- Verifying CP / Fixture terms;
- Monitor ship schedules, loading & discharging operations and solve any problems that may occur during the period.
- Responsible for insurance (P&I, FDD, H&M & War, charterer’s liability) and claim handling;
- Perform processing and invoicing of hire payments, including bunker calculations, deductions, off-hire time, and other deductions;
- Send hire/freight invoices to charterers and follow up on timely receipt of payments.
- Work closely with vessel owners, shipping agents, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on all aspects of the vessel’s daily operations and initiate any enhancements for maximum customer satisfaction.
- Ensure proper reporting on assigned ships, periodic voyage performance reviews, port charges and expenditures are presented to senior management, timely and regularly.
- Carry out other duties assigned by the Senior Management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in chartering, shipping, logistics, or maritime industry.
- Familiarity with vessel types, chartering terms, and international shipping regulations.
- Fluent in written, verbal communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese. Able to liaise with Chinese speaking associates.
- Committed and able to work at odd hours as required.
