Job summary

A public transport operator in Singapore is seeking a supervisor for their Garaging team. The role involves leading nightly operations, ensuring safety, and managing team performance in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have a Diploma, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience, and strong communication skills. Certifications in IOSH and First Aid are advantageous.

Qualifications

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Garaging team to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient execution of nightly operations.

  • Oversee manpower planning, monitor team performance, and conduct regular briefings to maintain operational readiness and uphold company standards.

  • Attend coordination meetings with relevant authorities and stakeholders on planned road or lane closures impacting bus services.

  • Plan and execute necessary operational adjustments, ensuring approvals, staff readiness, and effective communication across all involved parties.

  • Support incident management to ensure safe and uninterrupted execution of operational activities.

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, safety and service reliability.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to Management on operations matters, and support ad-hoc assignments as required.

  • Supervise and ensure workplace safety and health risks are identified, assessed and controlled, and provide employees with information on compliance to workplace safety and health policies.

Job Requirements
  • Possess at least a Diploma in any field.

  • At least 3 years of working experience as a supervisor in an operations and fast-paced environment.

  • Possess good communication skills, good situational awareness and able to multi-task.

  • Certified IOSH with relevant authorities and/ or equivalent.

  • First Aid certification and Class 3 driving licence will be an advantage.
