As a newly established startup, Start Young Play Pte Ltd is in the process of building its brand presence and operational foundation within the events and party industry for children. Despite the company’s small size, the nature of its business which involves the organization of interactive play events, birthday party events, and community events, it demands a strong operational structure and professional oversight from the outset.

The Event Manager is responsible for the end-to-end operational delivery of events, ensuring seamless planning, execution, and post-event evaluation. This role focuses on logistics, process efficiency, vendor coordination, and on-site management, ensuring that every event meets quality, safety, and financial objectives. The incumbent acts as the operational backbone of the events team, translating creative ideas into executable plans, optimizing resources, and maintaining operational excellence across multiple event portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Event Operations Planning & Execution
  • Lead the operational planning for all assigned events from concept to post-event debrief.
  • Develop detailed event operation plans, timelines, and checklists for all event activities.
  • Supervise on-site logistics including setup, load-in/load-out, and overall event flow.
  • Coordinate technical production elements decoration, lighting, sound, and AV.
  • Ensure all events are executed on time, within budget, and to specification.
2. Logistics, Infrastructure & Resource Coordination
  • Oversee event infrastructure requirements including power supply, signage, transportation, and crowd management.
  • Manage equipment inventory, warehouse coordination, and asset tracking.
  • Develop and monitor logistics schedules for deliveries, installation, and dismantling.
3. Compliance, Risk & Safety Management
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement contingency plans for emergencies.
  • Monitor site operations to maintain compliance with event licenses and contractual terms.
4. Team Leadership & Coordination
  • Lead, train, and supervise operations staff, contractors, and on-site personnel.
  • Assign roles and responsibilities to ensure smooth workflow across departments.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety awareness.
  • Support the management team in resource planning for upcoming events.
5. Post-Event Review & Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct post-event debriefs with teams and vendors to identify lessons learned.
  • Analyse operational metrics, logistics efficiency, cost savings, vendor performance, and risk management outcomes.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements for future events.
