Job summary

Sembcorp Industries Ltd in Singapore is seeking a hands-on engineer to manage Utilities and Water/Wastewater treatment plant operations, ensuring reliability and availability in line with SOPs, GHSSE and regulatory requirements. You will liaise with customer teams, monitor process parameters, supervise technicians, and drive plant optimization while maintaining safety and coordinating with maintenance.

Degree in chemical or environmental engineering preferred, with 2 years of operation

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical engineering / Environmental engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably 2 years operation experience in Water / Wastewater treatment plant.

Responsibilities

• To manage Utilities and Water/Wastewater treatment plant operations in meeting performance targets of reliability and availability complying fully with SOPs, GHSSE and all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with customer working team to ensure off-spec influent is managed effectively.
• In charge of Utilities and Water / Wastewater treatment plant by monitoring process parameters, managing plant logistics and working with maintenance to ensure plant equipment is maintained to assure reliability.
• Water and wastewater treatment plant optimization.
• Supervise a team of technicians to ensure effective performance of the plant.
• Review and implement SOPs, shift reports, and plant operating performance.
• Enforce safety by ensuring safety equipment are inspected regularly by the shift technicians, and all jobs have been carried out in accordance with GHSSE and regulatory requirement.
• Support Cluster Head in developing and implementing AOP for customers.
• Successful candidate can be appointed as part of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) (training will be provided)
