Role Overview
As the Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic growth and operational excellence of Bigo across global markets. Through Tech & Operations, you will ensure Bigo becomes the go-to platform for creating meaningful connections and connecting the world. This position requires a dynamic leader with strong cross‑functional collaboration, market expansion expertise, and the ability to deliver measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Define and execute operations strategies to position Bigo as the leading platform in target regions (Middle East, SEA, and beyond).
- Lead market entry strategies, overseeing new project launches and localization efforts to ensure successful expansion.
- Drive long‑term ecosystem development, including creator progression systems and monetization models.
- Business Development & Partnerships
- Build and strengthen international partnerships with key industry players (e.g., Disney+, The Game Awards, MLBB).
- Cultivate government and institutional relations to support compliance, brand reputation, and market access.
- Identify and secure strategic collaborations to enhance platform value and growth opportunities.
- Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring seamless execution of cross‑functional projects with Product, Tech, Marketing, and Content teams.
- Design scalable operational models to support user growth, retention, and monetization.
- Develop and implement best practices to optimize efficiency across markets.
- Marketing, PR & Brand Building
- Lead regional marketing and PR initiatives to enhance brand visibility and positioning.
- Oversee campaigns that resonate with diverse cultural audiences, amplifying Bigo’s global influence.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and with key stakeholders.
- Revenue & Performance Management
- Drive revenue growth strategies, achieving ambitious financial targets.
- Monitor performance metrics, analyze data insights, and refine strategies to maximize ROI.
- Achieved revenue doubling in prior SEA operations; replicate and scale similar successes in new markets.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Marketing, or related fields.
- 8+ years of experience in Operations, Business Development, or Strategic Leadership roles within Internet, Tech, Media, or Entertainment industries.
- Proven track record in leading market expansions, partnerships, and operational growth across multiple regions.
- Strong business acumen with expertise in revenue growth, ecosystem building, and user engagement strategies.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills; experience working with government bodies and international partners is a plus.
- Ability to lead large cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
