Job summary

A leading food production company in Singapore is seeking an Operations Support Specialist to ensure smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing compliance with food safety regulations, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with various teams. Applicants should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the food industry and a strong knowledge of quality management systems. This role emphasizes strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in Food industry.
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality management systems (FSSC 22000, SFA regulations).
  • Knowledge of Halal certification will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update operational records, SOPs, training logs, and certification documents.
  • Support compliance and food safety through internal audits and corrective action reports.
  • Prepare and manage Product Specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Liaise with chefs, production, and purchasing teams to verify product details.
  • Coordinate lab tests and staff food safety training.
  • Handle customer correspondence and product-related documentation.

Job description
General Description

This role supports the Operations team by ensuring smooth daily operations, compliance with regulatory requirements, and accurate product specification management. Responsibilities include maintaining documentation, conducting internal audits, and liaising with stakeholders to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update operational records, SOPs, training logs, and certification documents (FSSC, Halal, SFA, ISO).
  • Support compliance and food safety through internal audits, corrective action reports, and traceability checks (labels, batch coding, FIFO, allergen charts).
  • Prepare and manage Product Specifications (PS), ensuring accuracy and compliance with FSSC 22000, Halal, and SFA requirements.
  • Liaise with chefs, production, and purchasing teams to verify product and ingredient details.
  • Coordinate lab tests, calibration, pest-control records, and staff food safety training.
  • Handle customer correspondence, reports, and product-related documentation.
  • Any other job-related ad-hoc duties / projects as assigned by Management
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in Food industry
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality management systems (FSSC 22000, SFA regulations).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Halal certification will be an added advantage.
