EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENT / JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Operational Supervisor (Fire Maintenance Division)

Department: Fire Protection & Safety Systems
Reports To: Operations Manager
Work Days: 6 Days (5.5 days regular + standby duties)
Location: Based at assigned project sites in Singapore

1. Job Purpose

The Operational Supervisor oversees and coordinates all fire protection maintenance and repair works, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, safety standards, and client expectations. He/She leads a team of technicians and serves as the key operational contact for daily site activities, emergency response, and client communication.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Operational Management

  • Supervise and lead a team of 5 maintenance technicians including deployment, task assignment, and performance monitoring.
  • Plan and coordinate preventive, corrective, and routine fire maintenance activities (fire alarm, sprinkler, hose reel, wet riser, suppression systems, etc.).
  • Perform troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of fire system panels, pumps, detectors, and emergency equipment.
  • Ensure all maintenance works are carried out in compliance with SCDF, FSSD, and OEM standards.
  • Liaise with property/facility managers and clients on service schedules, site coordination, and emergency requests.

B. Technical & Administrative Duties

  • Prepare and submit service reports, defect lists, and repair quotations for client approval.
  • Verify and record all service sheets, timesheets, and parts usage from technicians.
  • Maintain proper documentation and tracking of inspection results, testing logs, and rectification records.
  • Support audit or inspection by authorities (SCDF/FSSD) when required.

C. Emergency & Standby Support

  • Be on standby rotation for emergency call-outs and after-hours breakdown response.
  • Provide on-site guidance to technicians during emergency situations.
3. Qualifications & Requirements
  • Diploma / NITEC / Higher NITEC in Electrical, Mechanical, or Fire Protection Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in fire protection system maintenance (inclusive of supervisory experience).
  • Good working knowledge of SCDF requirements, Fire Code, and OEM systems (Notifier, Simplex, Bosch, etc.).
  • Able to prepare quotations and work with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PDF).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Must be physically fit and willing to work 6 days weekly (5.5 days regular + standby duty).
