A leading employment agency is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for a coffeeshop in Singapore. You will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years of experience in F&B operations, strong leadership skills, and the ability to handle fast-paced environments. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is a plus. This role requires working shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Oversee the full daily operations of the coffeeshop, including stall performance, cleanliness, manpower, and service standards.
Ensure all stalls operate smoothly, open on time, and comply with agreed operating hours.
Conduct regular walk‑throughs to monitor food hygiene, safety, and housekeeping standards.
Handle any operational issues immediately (e.g., equipment breakdowns, cleanliness, supply shortages).
Develop and maintain strong relationships with stall owners/tenants.
Coordinate tenancy matters such as stall setup, renovation guidelines, compliance with contracts, and renewals.
Monitor tenant performance, sales trends, customer feedback, and operational discipline.
Enforce house rules, SOPs, and ensure all tenants meet NEA and safety requirements.
Lead and manage the coffeeshop’s service crew, cleaners, cashiers, and support staff.
Plan staff duty rosters, monitor attendance, and manage performance.
Provide training on customer service, hygiene, and daily SOP tasks.
Maintain a positive work environment and promote teamwork.
Oversee ordering, receiving, and stock‑checks for common supplies (e.g., cleaning chemicals, utensils, disposables).
Ensure efficient inventory control and minimal wastage.
Coordinate with vendors and service contractors (e.g., gas, grease trap, pest control).
Handle customer feedback, complaints, and enquiries professionally.
Ensure a pleasant dining environment with consistent service standards.
Work with stall owners to resolve consumer‑related issues promptly.
Monitor all coffeeshop equipment, lighting, plumbing, exhaust systems, and seating facilities.
Arrange servicing, repairs, or replacements when required.
Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (e.g., NEA, SCDF).
Maintain safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and hygiene audits.
Oversee cash handling, daily sales reporting, rental collection, and utilities tracking.
Assist in budgeting, cost control, and operational planning.
Prepare operational reports for management review.
Support management in new initiatives, improvements, and promotions.
Lead and support new coffeeshop openings or renovations.
Participate in management meetings and implement assigned tasks.
Any other duties required to support smooth and effective operations.
At least 2–3 years of experience in coffeeshop, food court, or F&B operations management preferred.
Strong knowledge of NEA policies, hygiene standards, and F&B safety compliance.
Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Able to handle fast‑paced environments and problem‑solve on the spot.
Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic understanding of budgeting, reporting, and cost control.
Ability to work shift hours, weekends, and Public Holidays as required.
Bilingual in English and Mandarin (or dialect) is an advantage for dealing with tenants and vendors.
