Job description

This role will entail responsibilities of operating the LMD Transport section, optimizing fleet resources, last mile fulfilment and ensuring all SOPs, SLAs and KPIs are met for insourced and outsourced fleet while adhering to budgetary constraints. You will need to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management, warehousing processes, including order management, customer service, and vehicle tracking, without infringing safety protocols and legal regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage Regent’s last mile transport fleet.
  • Lead and manage drivers to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Ensure vehicle road serviceability and maintenance.
  • Ensure all orders are delivered or collected on time in full.
  • Maximise entire fleet utilization.
  • Track, monitor and manage serviceability of fleet and their related cost.
  • Optimize vehicle load capacity.
  • Owner for transport activities including onboarding, dispatch, loading, unloading, delivery, returns, track and trace.
  • Planning, organizing, and managing team members to ensure work is completed and consistent with the company's standards.
  • Lead investigations to verify and resolve customers’ complaints.
  • Deliver KPI targets for transport, including work productivity, overtime, and safety.
  • Manage outsourced vendors to ensure full compliance of all agreed SLAs.
  • Lead the monthly business review with outsourced vendors and police corrective actions and preventive actions plan.
  • Suggest, recommend, develop, and implement continuous improvements plans for the operations.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve operations effectiveness and customers’ satisfaction.
  • Tabulate reports, analyse and update findings of reports.
  • Review impact of operational changes and their corresponding effects on routing, modes, volumes, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure workplace safety in LMD.
  • Recruit, mentor, coach, and lead team members to ensure manpower continuity.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
