Job summary

A logistics and supply chain company in Singapore is seeking an individual to support day-to-day warehouse operations and supervise a team for effective operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely shipment execution, inventory accuracy, and compliance with quality and safety standards. Strong organizational and leadership skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations in the warehouse.
• Plan and coordinate with customer service for timely operations.
• Fulfill customers’ requests and resolve complaints.
• Complete all inventory transactions within timeline.
• Conduct inventory counts and verify stock discrepancies.
• Ensure security and accountability of materials and goods.
• Complete filing of documents on time and accurately.
• Organize the warehouse layout for effective utilization.
• Supervise team for stuffing and un-stuffing containers.
• Evaluate and develop personnel for efficient operation.
• Suggest improvements for hazards and risk assessment.
• Integrate activities with quality management and compliance.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of tools.
• Comply with all EHS, quality, legal, and security requirements.

Job description

1. Be responsible to support day-to-day operations in warehouse by ensuring adequate manpower to perform warehouse duties.
2. Plan and coordinate with customer service teams to ensure timely operations (shipments clearance and delivery) execution.
3. To fulfil customers’ request and immediate resolve if complaint raise.
4. To ensure all inventory transaction are completed within the timeline and maintain stock accuracy.
5. To conduct inventory count and assist to verify stock discrepancies.
6. To ensures the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control.
7. To ensure filing of documents are completed on time and accurately.
8. To organize the layout of warehouse and ensure effective utilization of warehouse spacing.
9. To supervise a team of assistant supervisor and material handlers for stuffing and un-stuffing of containers for export and import shipments.
10. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
11. Suggest improvements to eliminate hazards, feedback on inadequacy of operational control, risk assessment and safe work procedure.
12. Evaluate the performance of assigned personnel and provide training experience, conduct disciplinary action, and recommend dismissal as required.
13. Ensure functional activities integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, regulatory compliance, and customer needs.
14. To ensure the cleanliness of the warehouse and ensure proper and safe functioning of warehouse tools, facilities, and equipment.
15. In full compliance to all EHS, Quality, legal and security requirements of the company.
16. Performs other job-related functions as and when required by superior.
