Job summary

A reputable financial services firm in Singapore is seeking an Operations professional to manage daily trade operations and remittance transactions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Banking, 2-3 years of experience in Banking Trade Finance, and strong bilingual communication skills in English and Chinese. This role involves handling various financial transactions, resolving customer queries, and ensuring document compliance.

Department: Operations

Reporting to: Head of Operations

Responsibilities
  • Managing the day-to day processing of trade operations and remittance transactions.
  • Review and process all import and export transactions, including LC advising, LC negotiation and collection, issuance guarantee, issuance LC, import/export OA, document checking, funding requests and SWIFT payments.
  • Review and process the daily transactions of inward/outward remittance.
  • Review and process the SAA .
  • Deputy of Deposit and GB2B makers.
  • Ensure proper handling of documents and required daily reconciliation.
  • Responsible for all aspects of import and export transactions and billings.
  • Following up with any changing or discounting of bills.
  • Handling internal and external customer’s queries.
  • Attend and provide technical advice and support to business units and customers.
  • Maintain close communication and coordination with Head Office.
  • Review and ensure operational problems, complaints and queries are resolved promptly and satisfactorily.
  • Supporting business plans and periodical reporting to management.
  • Any ad hoc reports or duties assigned by the Head of Dept.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience within the Banking Trade Finance, particularly in good understanding on SWIFT, UCP, ISBP, etc.
  • Good knowledge of the operations relating to trade finance and remittance.
  • Able to work independently. Ability to multi-task amongst various duties as and when required.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English/Chinese to liaise with Chinese speaking headquarter counterparties
