Job summary

Thomson Medical Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Operating Theatre Assistant / Healthcare Assistant to support nursing and clinical staff in the operating theatre, ensuring smooth, safe procedures and efficient theatre operations.

Responsibilities include assisting with pre- and post-operative patient care, maintaining hygiene, handling disinfectants, moving patients, dispatching specimens, preparing surgical equipment, and aiding patient positioning as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE ‘N’ level or Certificate in Health Care.
• 1 year of relevant experience or more.
• Ability to work well with others and show initiative.
• Technical competency in operating theatre procedures and equipment.

The Operating Theatre Assistant / Healthcare Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting nursing and clinical staff to facilitate the efficient functioning of the operating theatre.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the surgical team to support operations
• Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient care
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in operating and equipment rooms
• Prepare appropriate disinfectants
• Transport patients as needed
• Dispatch specimens to relevant departments
• Prepare and ensure the proper functionality of surgical equipment
• Assist with patient positioning during procedures
• Handle all equipment appropriately and with care

Requirements:

• Minimum GCE ‘N’ level or Certificate in Health Care
