Job summary

NCS is seeking an experienced On-Premises DevOps Engineer to design and maintain container infrastructure in an on-premises environment. The role collaborates with development and operations teams to ensure smooth deployments and efficient management of resources.

Requirements include knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, containerd, and IaC tools like Terraform/Ansible. Experience with monitoring, security, and on-prem data centers is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with on-premises infrastructure and data centers.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes on-prem deployments.
• Experience with Docker and containerd.
• Familiarity with IaC tools Helm, Kustomize, Terraform.
• Experience with monitoring/logging for Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Containerization: Work with Docker containers and containerd for deployments.
• Kafka Integration: Integrate Kafka for event-driven communication and data streaming.
• Guacamole Experience: Leverage Guacamole for secure remote access to systems.
• Infrastructure as Code: Use Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for on-prem infrastructure.
• Monitoring and Alerting: Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for Kubernetes clusters.
• Security Best Practices: Implement Kubernetes security measures including RBAC and network policies.
