A leading company in pharmaceutical development is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive the growth of Excipients clients in the APAC market. The ideal candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in excipient business and demonstrate strong business acumen. Responsibilities include establishing new suppliers, managing key client relationships, and developing marketing strategies. The position requires flexibility and a willingness to travel within Asia. Qualifications

Job Summary

This is a newly created business development position to help drive the growth of our Excipients clients in the APAC market. You will be responsible for new client rollout and portfolio expansion of the entire Excipient range.

General Responsibilities
  • Identify and establish new suppliers for Excipients in the APAC Market - (inter APAC and APAC to EU / US) contact / communication / coordination / negotiation
  • Interaction with end users of Excipients in Pharma FDF (Finished Dosage Form) for Human Pharma applications
  • Expert in the techno-commercial evaluation of opportunities with new suppliers.
  • Develop the Excipient product portfolio expansion strategy Project execution and driving projects from concept to commercialization. Must possess good technical knowledge on various types and chemistries of excipients used in the industry
  • Close the Excipient portfolio GAPs for the various countries of the region for distribution in Asia.
  • Support the regional countries (LBLM & SM) to implement regional PO BD plans.
  • Coordinate and manage relationships with selected Key Clients: KPIs setting reporting meetings
  • Coordination with Country Sourcing Teams with a vision to develop new Clients for Excipients.
  • Develop marketing material (with support of digital and marketing team).
  • Competition / Suppliers survey: searching on granted and non-granted information technology mapping.
  • Organize Industry or client workshops for Excipients
  • Accountable to deliver GMI by managing price volume inventory product / country / customer mix.
Functional Skills and Knowledge
  • Preferably experienced in heading Excipient business or parts of it in the current job.
  • Business development mindset (willingness to develop new markets and industry technologies)
  • Excellent capability to work with multi-cultural teams and remote Working
  • Flexible and organized need to manage several complex projects simultaneously.
  • Availability to travel within Asia.
  • Demonstrate business development experience in applying business development principles for medium- to large-sized companies in similar industries
  • Demonstrate business acumen analytical and business analysis skills
  • Demonstrate skills in market research and audit
  • Demonstrate ability to manage global / regional / country level assignments and projects
  • Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in cross-country / -cultural interactions
  • Demonstrate fluency in English (both written and spoken)
Education
  • Degree in Business Pharmacy preferred
  • At least 10 years of relevant working experience in a similar position or commercial experience in Excipients
