About the role
  • Oil and Fats Buyer is located in Singapore as part of Global Sourcing team, the role is part of the APAC sourcing team which is responsible for an annual P&L target.
  • This role is required to closely work with Singapore and Australia factories, as well as regionally with RnD, QA, finance and business team for any necessary projects
Key responsibilities
Internal
  • Supply Chain: To ensure stable oil and fats raw material to all AMEA factories with special focus on Singapore & Australia, from ordering to track status collaborating with the supply chain team of each individual factories. Work with Supply chain team to optimize logistics costing from sourcing perspective, providing relevant experience and advice to best practices and also cost saving perspective
  • Quality Assurance: To support Quality team with Quality Assurance, Non-Compliance Records (NCR) where required, including liaising with suppliers for resolutions. To ensure SRM registered suppliers are up to BC requirements.
  • To work with regional, local RnD team members for any research and development projects including and not limited to cost savings, customer recipe development etc.
  • To manage and maintain all data records related to sourcing activities
  • To optimize sourcing policies with the sustainability team
  • Supporting the trading team with trading strategies to optimize AMEA sourcing PnL, using hedging tools such as BMD, CPKO Paper to hedge risk position in order to maximize business PnL
External
  • Supplier management: to negotiate best pricing and terms including but not limited to payment terms, incoterm with oil suppliers
  • Collaborating with suppliers for any global sourcing activities
About you
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business commercial subjects or equivalent
  • Min 3 years in the palm/Laurics business
