Overview

The Wealth Regulatory Reporting Operations Analyst is an individual contributor responsible for ensuring complete, accurate and timely regulatory reporting submissions, including exceptions resolution and process improvements in coordination with the Wealth Regulatory Reporting Operations team. The role supports the fulfillment of regulatory reporting obligations imposed on Citi by different regulators.

This position operates within the Global Wealth Operations & Technology organization and partners with Wealth Business Senior Management Team, Investments Business Management, Discretionary Business Management, Business Risk & Control, Legal and Compliance. The objective is to strengthen regulatory reporting processes, governance, issue detection, and awareness of regulatory reporting across products and regulators.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation and submission of regulatory reports covering different jurisdictions and products
  • Resolving issues related to regulatory reporting
  • Communicating operational changes arising from remediation, process or control enhancements to Operations & Technology
  • Developing business requirements for system-related enhancements and managing end-to-end implementation of new or amended regulations
  • Reconciliation of positions and ensuring completeness, accuracy and timeliness of reporting
  • Streamlining process inconsistencies, mitigating risks, and documenting processes; sharing knowledge within the team to manage regulatory reporting operations
  • Anticipating details of future regulations by engaging with key stakeholders and staying informed of trends and industry developments
  • Driving projects and process improvements
  • Supporting all control functions including MCA, audits, procedure updates and implementation
  • Calculating and monitoring key KPIs and metrics
  • Timely escalation of issues and monitoring until resolution
  • Close cooperation with business and technology partners on gap identification and process improvements
Qualifications

  • Good understanding of regulations and operational processes
  • Good understanding of Investments and Capital Market products as well as trade execution and settlement processes
  • Analytical thinking skills

  • Critical thinking and ability to draw logical conclusions
  • Adequate proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint; experience presenting to stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Education
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, preferably in finance and banking
