Office Maintenance Engineer / Technician

The Maintenance Engineer / Technician will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, reliability, and safety of all equipment within the facility. This role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, technical support, and coordination with vendors to minimize equipment downtime and maintain high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance for preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance works in the assigned section.
- Ensure high service levels by responding promptly to equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Assist in investigating equipment damage or accidents and prepare related reports.
- Plan preventive or corrective maintenance work to reduce equipment downtime.
- Recommend and seek approval for spare part orders for all equipment.
- Enforce and comply with all safety policies, procedures, and administrative requirements during maintenance work.
- Ensure all recovery tools and equipment are operational and ready for use.
- Maintain warehouse facilities and housekeeping in good working condition.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety and security policies.
- Liaise and follow up with vendors regarding maintenance matters.
- Prepare and control technical check-sheets for maintenance works.
- Report to superiors on any required maintenance work and progress.
- Keep proper records and filing of works carried out.
- Prepare necessary reports on maintenance activities.
- Issue job instructions for maintenance and renovation works.
- Prepare quotations for parts and renovation works.
- Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the reporting manager or department head.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering.
- Preferably with additional training or work experience in electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Competent in maintaining automatic and/or semi-automatic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and preventive maintenance practices.
