ODM Materials Manager

Job summary

Avensys Consulting in Singapore is seeking an ODM Materials Manager to own strategic supplier relationships for compute and storage components, drive lead time reductions, and coordinate with planning and engineering for NPI material readiness.

You will negotiate with suppliers, optimize costs, manage escalations, and ensure on-time delivery while aligning with ODM operations and sourcing teams; a strong background in high-volume manufacturing and ERP/MRP systems is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain management or material planning in a high-volume manufacturing or infrastructure environment.
• Direct vendor management experience - proven ability to own and drive strategic supplier relationships at scale.
• Infrastructure rack-level expertise - hands-on experience managing commodities for server, storage, or networking rack assemblies at large scale (this is a must).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex demand/supply data and translate into actionable strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - ability to create executive-ready materials and present to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage strategic supplier relationships for assigned commodity categories across the compute and storage portfolio.
• Conduct regular business reviews (QBRs) with key suppliers to track performance, negotiate improvements, and align on capacity roadmaps.
• Drive supply improvements including lead time reduction, capacity expansion, and on-time delivery (OTD) performance.
• Manage supplier escalations and resolve supply constraints in collaboration with ODMs and component suppliers.
• Coordinate with planning and engineering teams to manage NPI (New Product Introduction) material readiness.
• Partner with ODM operations teams to ensure alignment on build schedules, material constraints, and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with sourcing and procurement on cost optimization, dual-sourcing strategies, and supplier qualification.

• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and supply chain analytics tools
