Job summary

A major tertiary eye centre in Singapore is seeking a highly skilled Oculoplastic Surgeon to provide comprehensive medical and surgical care for patients. Responsibilities include complex surgical procedures and post-operative management. The ideal candidate must have a basic Medical Degree, a post-graduate qualification, and be fellowship-trained in Oculoplastic surgery.

  • Manage post-operative care and follow-up treatments.
  • Participate in emergency on-call rotations.

The Department of Ophthalmology at TTSH is a major tertiary eye centre providing comprehensive eye care services. Our department is equipped with state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic and surgical facilities, serving a high volume of patients with complex eye conditions.

Oculoplastic Surgeon

We are seeking a highly skilled Oculoplastic Surgeon to join our ophthalmology team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical and surgical care for patients with conditions affecting the eyelids, orbit, lacrimal system, and surrounding facial structures.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
  • Perform comprehensive patient consultations and examinations
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for various oculoplastic conditions
  • Conduct complex surgical procedures including blepharoplasty, ptosis repair, and orbital surgeries
  • Manage post‑operative care and follow‑up treatments
  • Participate in emergency on‑call rotations
Surgical Expertise
  • Execute a wide range of oculoplastic procedures, including:
  • Eyelid reconstructive surgery
  • Orbital decompression and fracture repairs
  • Tumour excision and reconstruction
  • Management of facial nerve disorders
  • Treatment of congenital abnormalities
Qualifications and Requirements

The candidate must possess a basic Medical Degree and a recognised post‑graduate qualification, such as the FRCOphth/FCOphth with CCST, ABO, FRACS which is registrable with the Singapore Medical Council and the Specialist Accreditation Board. The candidate must also be fellowship‑trained in Oculoplastic surgery.
