Job description

Job Description The Occupational Therapist will provide support and interventions to persons with disabilities at the Enabling Business Hub. He/She is committed and service-oriented and works in collaboration with other agencies and partners to support persons with disabilities in providing training and job placement support. He/She will work closely with other Allied Health Professionals in supporting persons with disabilities towards gainful employment.

Job Responsibilies
  • Conduct intake assessment to assess client suitability for enrolment
  • Conduct review and discharge assessment
  • Conduct other assessments appropriate to the setting
  • Conduct environmental scans and employment-related need assessments
Intervention
  • Individual intervention
  • Group intervention
  • In-class support
  • Providing environmental modification and adaptation where applicable
  • Intervention carried out in the therapy room/ in the classroom
  • Support, implement and evaluate employment-related development initiatives
Therapy outcome
  • Crafting therapy outcomes based on holistic care & assessments
  • Recommend therapy program suitable to clients
  • Prepare the assessment reports/ recommendations
Job Requirements
  • Recognized Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • Qualified as Full-Registered Therapist under the Allied Health Professional Act
  • At least 2 years of experience
  • Passionate in working with persons with disabilities
  • Passionate about inclusionary practice and implementation of intervention strategies
  • Good communicator and possess good interpersonal skills
  • Have initiative and able to work independently and yet be a good team player
