A healthcare provider based in Singapore is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide comprehensive therapy services. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma, Degree, or Master in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Allied Health Professional Council. Responsibilities include developing care plans, administering interventions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Strong communication skills and proficiency in English are required, with knowledge of additional languages being advantageous. This position offers a chance to impact client recovery positively.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate Occupational Therapy and related services to clients.
Administer therapeutic interventions to alleviate impairments or functional limitations and to maximize optimal recovery.
Maintain clear, appropriate and accurate documentation for all treatments in a timely manner.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information.
Ensure timely scheduling and billing of clients.
Facilitate smooth and thorough handovers of clients when necessary.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic client care and monitor client progress.
Develop and implement individual care plan and treatment goals.
Participate and conduct orientation and in-service education, training program and supervise junior staff as required.
Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians and other referral sources.
Connect clients to appropriate wellness and strengthening training programmes.
Supervise/ train Therapy Aides (TAs) in relevant areas.
Lead or participate in projects, such as service development or collaborative initiatives with partner organizations.
Conduct and participate in clinical research or service evaluation studies.
Drive continuous improvements and service development efforts.
Any other duties assigned.
Diploma / Degree/ Master in Occupational Therapy.
Registered with the Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC)
At least 2 to 3 years of experience in healthcare related institutions and 1 to 2 years’ on-the-job clinical experience will be preferred.
Possess valid BCLS certification.
Proficient in written and spoken English. Knowledge of basic Mandarin, Malay, or local dialects to communicate with Mandarin/Malay/Dialect-speaking clients would be an advantage.
Comfortable working with elderly adults, including those with complex rehabilitation needs (e.g., neurological, musculoskeletal/orthopedic, oncology).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
