Job summary

You will prepare ingredients and equipment before classes, ensure quality of lab supplies, and help maintain cleanliness. Collaboration with teachers across departments during activities and competitions will be part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson materials: ingredients/equipment/materials before each practical lesson.
• Batch ingredients for all classes based on recipe.
• Check quality of dry and perishable foods in the food labs before use.
• Maintain food lab hygiene and general safety: cleaning before and after sessions.
• Tidier preparation room and proper disposal of lab refuse.
• Conduct safety checks on electrical appliances and gas pipes; ensure switches are off after sessions.
• Ensure appliances/equipment are in good working condition through regular checks.
• Assist teachers from other departments with equipment preparation or ingredient checks.
• Assist teachers during inter-school culinary competitions with ingredients, utensils and cleaning.
• Assist Nutrition and Food Science Club teachers with material preparation and housekeeping.
• Assist FCE teachers in the conduct of practical lessons.
