💼 Role: Nutanix Engineer
What You'll Do:
- Participate in service delivery engagements and work closely with customer IT teams, both onsite and remotely, serving as a key contributor for Nutanix product implementation, administration, and operations.
- Understand and align with customers’ short- and long-term IT objectives, OLAs, and operational requirements, ensuring day-to-day activities support these goals.
- Lead and execute Nutanix implementations and provide ongoing virtual infrastructure operations support.
- Apply deep knowledge of Nutanix products and features to support customers in strategic planning, implementation, and operational excellence of their Nutanix environments.
- Perform deployment, installation, and configuration of Nutanix core products.
- Execute software and firmware upgrades, patching activities, and lifecycle management tasks.
- Plan, configure, and support disaster recovery setups, including restoration procedures.
- Perform V2V and P2V migrations and manage full VM lifecycle activities such as creation, deletion, cloning, and snapshots.
- Collaborate with architects and subject matter experts to apply Nutanix best practices and accelerate adoption and expansion of customer environments.
- Proactively identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities within customer IT environments and recommend optimization strategies.
- Work closely with the Nutanix Sales Team by sharing customer insights, identifying new opportunities, and providing ongoing customer status updates and reports.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an enterprise IT environment.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience supporting virtualized IT environments.
- Strong expertise in Nutanix NCI, with hands-on experience in Nutanix AOS/AHV.
- Experience with VMware ESXi or other converged or hyper-converged platforms.
- Proven hands-on experience in deployment, configuration, migration, upgrades, DR planning, and infrastructure operations.
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma is mandatory, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
- Industry certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, VCAP, VCIX, CCNA, CCIA, or RHCE are preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills, proactive mindset, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
