A leading educational support organization in Singapore is seeking a Nurse Manager to oversee medical support for schools. Responsibilities include managing Health Centres, supervising nurses, and ensuring compliance with health policies. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, SNB registration, and at least 5 years of nursing experience. Position Objective:
• To provide and oversee medical support for the schools, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all students, employees, and visitors
• To lead training, supervision, and to guide colleagues in providing appropriate medical care for students and managing the operations of four Health Centres within the organisation
• Supervise, mentor, and support a team of registered nurses across all health centre’s, upholding clinical standards, regulatory compliance, and school health policies
Responsibilities:
The Nurse Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing care across the organisation entities. This role ensures the smooth day-to-day operation of the Health Centre(s), supports the well-being of both students and employees, manages the nursing team, and ensures compliance with all relevant health, safety, and safeguarding policies. The Nurse Manager plays a key role in fostering a safe, supportive, and health-conscious school environment.
General Nursing Duties:
• Provide and facilitate Health & First Aid service in an educational institution (including students and employees.
• Maintain all Health and First Aid areas as safe and functional, including restocking First Aid Kits for on/off-site needs.
• Assess and treat illnesses and accidents.
• Maintain and generate monthly reports containing statistics and incidents for Health and Safety Committee.
• Arrange and liaise with Senior Leaders and designated managers to conduct Health Screenings.
• Collaborate with external providers to conduct various health tests (ie: hearing tests, vaccinations, etc.) to support students and employees in school.
• Develop a health education plan that aligns with the sub-school’s Unit of Inquiry.
• Attend camps as medical support (local and international camps).
• Support the Outdoor Education department and external parties for camps and international games with medical information and First Aid kits.
• Liaise with International SOS (ISOS) to ensure that all medical details are relayed to them prior to any trips.
• Monitor and maintain student vaccination records as per Singapore Health Promotion Board recommendations.
• Track all illnesses in school and trigger necessary actions to break any infectious cycle.
• Report any infectious disease outbreak via CDLENS.
Administration:
• Provide clear, accurate and detailed documentation of all care delivered and communications received.
• Ensure the Nursing Team records and documents all visits in the internal student platform.
• Ensure the Nursing Team attend any necessary courses to maintain professional development throughout their Nursing career.
• Ensure Nursing Team monthly timesheets are submitted for review and endorsed by HR and Managing Director – Operations before payment is made.
• Partner with the Admissions Team weekly and assess students with special health needs.
• Develop medical plans to support students in school, ensuring communication with all employees so the relevant parties are aware of students’ medical needs.
• Ensure the annual student declaration forms are reviewed promptly.
• Track all health-related and nursing policies, along with reviewing them before the expiration date.
• Collaborate with the Sports Department to ensure the external medics receive the appropriate orientation to operate on the school grounds.
• Promote and protect the physical, emotional, and medical well-being of students and employees.
• Coordinate health services to support school-wide events, camps, and daily operations.
• Collaborate with school leadership, operations, HR, and safeguarding teams.
• Champion a culture of health, safety, professionalism, and inclusivity.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in line with international best practices.
• Act as the central point of contact for health-related matters across all campuses.
Position Requirements:
• Excellent Communication skills in English (written and spoken)
• Ability to thrive in a team environment
• Attend off-site camps (local and international camps)
Qualifications:
• Registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) is a requirement
• Minimum 5 years’ experiment working as a Registered Nurse
• At least 2 years of managerial experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Working hours:
Mon to Fri, 8 hours scheduled shift between 7:30am to 6:30pm
