A healthcare provider in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Nursing Staff to attend to residents' needs, perform essential nursing duties, and supervise healthcare assistants. The ideal candidate will possess a Diploma or Degree in Nursing and a Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting in daily living activities, and participating in training programs. This position is crucial in ensuring exceptional care within a nursing home environment.
- Attends to residents’ needs
- Makes rounds to check residents’ condition regularly.
Performed basic nursing duties such as:
vital signs, such as:
- Reports above to staff nurse accordingly.
- Assists staff nurse writing resident’s reports and documentation of resident’s vital signs and other charts.
- Supervises health care assistants.
- Makes and tidies beds with health care assistants.
- Assist residents in their activities of daily living (ADL), e.g. bathing, oral hygiene, dressing up, grooming.
- Attends monthly In-house training programmes, so as to update and upgrade own knowledge and skills.
- Attends monthly clinical staff meetings, so as to be updated on the latest happenings in the Nursing Home/
- Assists staff nurse to prepare Residents’ reports for Multidisciplinary Rounds presentation every 6 monthly.
- Mentors newly employed NAs for 3 months, as and whenever assigned by the Nurse Manager and/or Director of Nursing.
1) Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification License.
2) Diploma or Degree in Nursing (for Foreign Nurses)
3) Some experience in a nursing home in a similar position.
4) Ability to communicate at all levels.
