Job summary

Metabit Technology LLC is seeking a driven early-career professional to join our trading desk supporting systematic strategies across global equity and futures markets. You will monitor live trading, investigate anomalies, and use Python to enhance analytics and operations.

We welcome recent graduates and candidates with 1–3 years of relevant experience. Night shifts are required to cover global market hours, with training and supervision provided and authority granted as competence grows.

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent demonstrated ability.
• Recent graduates or 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Solid probability and statistics; good understanding of financial markets, trading instruments, PnL and order mechanics.
• Practical Python skills for data processing and analysis; Linux/UNIX and SQL a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, reliable execution and sound judgement about when to elevate.
• Clear written and spoken English for incident updates and collaboration.
• Willingness and ability to work scheduled night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Real-Time Monitoring: Monitor market data, orders, executions, positions and system health; investigate alerts and identify unexpected trading behaviour.
• Trading Operations: Perform pre-market checks and shift handovers; support approved configuration changes, deployments and post-release checks.
• Incident Response: Execute authorised SOPs, verify outcomes, and promptly escalate unresolved issues or situations outside assigned authority.
• Analytics & Improvement: Use Python to analyse trading data, investigate recurring issues, and improve monitoring, tools and SOPs.
• Compliance & Coordination: Follow execution controls and market rules; support broker communication and incident documentation.
