Job summary

A leading technology company in Singapore is seeking a Pre-Sales professional to collaborate with sales, design communication networks, and manage network activities. Candidates should have a diploma in Information Systems or Computer Engineering and strong analytical skills. Experience with IP networking and firewall configuration is preferred. The role may require working on a rotational shift schedule.

Job description
Pre-Sales
  • Collaborate with the sales team to assess customer requirements and recommend suitable satellite communication solutions based on vessel size and data usage needs.
  • Design onboard communication networks that integrate seamlessly with the proposed satellite solutions.
  • Carry out the installation and configuration of IT networks onboard vessels, including LAN setup, switch and router configuration, firewall settings, and other network components in accordance with industry standards and vendor guidelines.
  • Handle the staging, configuration, and commissioning of customer systems and equipment to ensure successful service deployment.
Post-Sales
  • Monitor, maintain, and manage all inbound and outbound network activities, including issue reporting and resolution.
  • Record and track customer issues through the fault ticketing system, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Process and implement customer change requests, such as firewall configuration updates or prepaid service top-ups.
  • Update the technical knowledge base and propose improvements to enhance service response and resolution times.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent documentation and report‑writing abilities.
  • Self‑motivated, independent, and eager to learn new technologies.
  • Solid understanding of IP networking and firewall configuration.
  • Knowledge of satellite communication technologies is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work on a rotational shift schedule.
