Job summary

A technology solutions provider in Singapore is seeking an individual to implement and deploy various Firewall products, such as Checkpoint and Palo Alto. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of IT security experience, along with relevant hands-on expertise in Firewall solutions. Responsibilities include managing vendor relations, providing training, and ensuring clear communication with stakeholders. A diploma or degree in a related field is essential, while certifications in Firewall technologies are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 – 2 years of relevant work experience in IT security implementation and deployment.
• Preferably with relevant hands-on experience on Firewall products, minimum 1 year.
• Firewall certification like CCSA, CCSE, NSE 4 or PCNSE is a plus point but not mandatory.

Overview

To implement and deploy different Firewall products and related solutions:

• Checkpoint
• Palo Alto
• Fortinet
• Cisco ASA
• Cisco Firepower
• Algosec
• To perform configuration and fine-tuning for advance features like IPS/IDS, Threat Prevention, URL filtering and etc.
• To manage and work/liaise with product vendors, partners and customers in term of schedule, expectation and requirements
• To provide consistent and clear communication to external and internal stakeholders
• To provide informal training to partners and customers

Qualifications

• ITE/Diploma/Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
• Minimum 1 – 2 years of relevant work experience in IT security implementation and deployment
• Preferably with relevant hands-on experience on Firewall products, minimum 1 years
• Basic understanding in operating system technology, such as Unix, Linux and Windows Server
• Good networking knowledge (CCNA certified is a plus point)
• Technically inclined and hands on
• Good interpersonal skills, independent, pro-active and a team player
• Good presentation and writing skills
• Firewall certification like CCSA, CCSE, NSE 4 or PCNSE is a plus point but not mandatory
• Preferably from System-Integrator or Distributor background
