About the Role

The Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting and delivering core network infrastructure projects within a defence environment.

The role involves coordinating implementation, configuration, and maintenance of network systems while ensuring timely project delivery and compliance with security requirements.

This position requires candidates with hands-on technical expertise and strong coordination skills to work effectively with end-users, vendors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end delivery of network infrastructure projects, including planning, setup, configuration, and testing.
• Perform installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and UPS systems.
• Coordinate with vendors, users, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation and issue resolution.
• Monitor network performance and provide operational support during project rollout.
• Prepare project documentation, progress reports, and network topology diagrams.
• Ensure compliance with defence network security standards and protocols.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• CAT 1 MSD clearance required (or eligible to obtain).
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, UPS, and network monitoring tools.
• CCNA certification highly preferred.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to engage effectively with end-users and vendors.

Preferred Attributes

• Prior experience supporting government or defence-related infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of network delivery, implementation, and operational support workflows.
