Job summary

Millennium Technology Services in Singapore seeks a seasoned Network Engineer to implement and support enterprise network and security solutions. You will manage FortiGate SD-WAN and Zscaler environments while contributing to network transformation projects and tackling complex connectivity issues.

The role requires hands-on experience with SD-WAN, VPNs, BGP/OSPF, and network security, with opportunities to lead design reviews, capacity planning, and technical delivery for senior applicants.

Qualifications

• Hands-on FortiGate SD-WAN and Zscaler experience required.
• Strong SD-WAN, SLA/health checks, link steering knowledge.
• Experience with Zscaler ZIA/ZPA and policies.
• Enterprise WAN/LAN, routing, security knowledge.
• Understanding BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, QoS.
• 3rd-level troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Experience with implementation, migrations, upgrades and change management.
• Degree in CS/IT/Engineering preferred.

Job description

Mandatory Technical Requirements

• Hands-on experience implementing, configuring and troubleshooting FortiGate SD-WAN.
• Strong understanding of SD-WAN rules, performance SLA/health checks, link steering, IPsec VPN, routing, firewall policies and failover.
• Hands-on experience supporting or implementing Zscaler ZIA and/or ZPA.
• Experience with Zscaler policies, application access, tunnels/connectors, traffic forwarding, authentication and troubleshooting.
• Strong enterprise LAN/WAN, routing, switching, wireless and network security knowledge.
• Good understanding of BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, QoS and network segmentation.
• Ability to perform Level 3 troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and incident resolution.
• Experience with network implementation, migration, upgrades and change management.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure and support enterprise network and security solutions.
• Manage and troubleshoot FortiGate SD-WAN and Zscaler environments.
• Support network transformation, technology refresh and migration activities.
• Diagnose complex connectivity, routing, performance and security incidents.
• Prepare and maintain network diagrams, configuration records, implementation plans, MOPs and operational documentation.
• Work with regional teams, customers, vendors and NOC teams.
• Ensure changes comply with security, governance and change-management requirements.
• For senior-level applicants, lead solution design, architecture reviews, capacity planning and technical delivery.

Experience

• Network Engineer: approximately 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Senior Network Engineer/Lead: approximately 10-15 years of relevant experience.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, Fortinet/FCP/NSE or Zscaler certifications would be advantageous.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline preferred.

Important: Generic firewall experience alone is insufficient. Applicants must have practical experience with FortiGate SD-WAN and Zscaler.
