JOB TYPE: Long Term Contract

Job Description Overview

Network Primary Purpose

• Assist in network related hardware/software/firmware incidents
• Maintain all the relevant network records and update all the documentations timely
• Maintain Standard Operating Procedure, together with the customer to ensure the processes are in line and up to date as necessary
• Perform daily system checks and monitoring and highlight any abnormalities found
• Ensure that network related equipment backups are running

Network Responsibilities

• Responsible for the infrastructure network design, implementation, testing, security, managing and maintenance of proposed system. Work closely with Team Leader to meet system delivery milestones. Provide technical documentation support to Project & Solutions Teams, as well as hand over as-built system documentation to Maintenance support team.
• Respond promptly to incident, root cause analysis and provide temporary and/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties.
• Engage with back-line support and/or with vendor's support to diagnose and rectify technical problems.
• Implement service continuity measures, i.e., backup/restore procedures & disaster recovery plan, to ensure continuous operation of the business.
• Assist in day-to-day operation of the System Delivery team – carry out other technical related duties that may be required.
• Attain key certifications for partnership with key vendors.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT / Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a System Integration environment and/or implementing Network systems.
• Familiar and experienced in implementing and configuring network products like routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls and more.
• Strong familiarity with Cisco, Alcatel, Load Balancer and Firewall is a plus.
• Certification in Network products is a plus.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with ability to explain technology from a customer perspective.
