We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to manage and optimize our network infrastructure. This role will involve configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network systems, ensuring the network's reliability and performance, while implementing security measures to safeguard the network from vulnerabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Design, implement, and maintain network security solutions, including intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and encryption technologies.
- Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including connectivity, performance, and hardware failures.
- Implement and enforce security policies and measures (firewalls, VPNs) to protect the network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the network integrates effectively with servers, cloud solutions, and other IT components.
- Manage the deployment and maintenance of network hardware and software.
- Ensure the network infrastructure complies with industry standards and best practices.
- Maintain documentation for network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging network technologies and best practices to continuously improve network efficiency.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering and infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, etc.) and network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Experience with network monitoring tools (like Wireshark, SolarWinds) and troubleshooting network issues.
- Familiarity with security technologies like firewalls, VPNs, and access control.
- Certifications such as CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are preferred.
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and network automation tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V).
